Hellingly Head-On Crash Closes Road

Police are appealing for witnesses following a two vehicle RTC on the A267 at Hellingly, East Sussex.

The head-on collision happened near the Wellshurst Golf Club when a 40-year-old man driving of a Ford Escort suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by the Kent Air Ambulance.

The 39-year-old man driver of the second vehicle, a BMW, was also injured and airlifted to the Conquest Hospital at Hastings by the Sussex Police helicopter. He has minor injuries.

The road was closed for more than three hours while police investigated the accident.
