The driver of a Lotus walked uninjured from the wreck of his vehicle after colliding with a crash barrier on the southbound A23 at Warninglid on Monday morning (October 19).

Miraculously, despite the road being quite busy at the time, around 10.30am, no other vehicles were involved.
Police would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision or events leading up to it to contact the Haywards Heath Road Policing Unit on 0845 60 70 999 quoting reference 446 of 19/10. They would particularly like to speak to the driver of an Audi who may have witnessed events unfold.
Road policing officers are urging motorists to take due regard of the road and weather conditions, especially at this time of year as weather conditions deteriorate and the nights draw in. Motorists need to adapt the time they allow for their journeys and the speed at which they travel.
