A 20-year-old woman from Smallfield, Surrey was killed on Saturday afternoon (October 24) in a two vehicle collision on Balcombe Road, Pound Hill, Crawley.
The collision happened just before 4.45pm when Amie Etherington’s Mini One was in collision with a Peugeot 207, driven by a 72-year-old man from Burgess Hill, who was slightly injured. A woman in the Peugeot was also slightly injured.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene, but the Mini driver died at the scene. The road was closed for just under four hours while investigation and recovery work took place, reopening just after 8.30pm.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Greatham.
